Peter Leav is president and chief executive officer of BMC Software, Inc.
Peter brings to BMC a strong background in leading multinational businesses. Over the course of his successful career in technology and services, he has led teams to create a shared vision and make strategic decisions while driving operational excellence.
Prior to joining BMC, Peter was president and CEO of Polycom, a global $1.2 billion collaboration business serving the enterprise market. Previously, he was president of industry and field operations at NCR Corporation, the global leader in consumer transaction technologies. At Motorola, Inc., Peter was corporate vice president and general manager of the enterprise business in North America, Latin America and EMEA.
Earlier in his career, Peter held executive sales leadership positions at Symbol Technologies, Cisco Systems and Tektronix, Inc.
Peter is a graduate of Lehigh University and previously served as a member of the board of directors for the Eye Bank for Sight Restoration and HD Supply, Inc.
Jason Andrew is senior vice president for Americas Sales in the Enterprise Solutions Organization of BMC Software, Inc.
Jason began his BMC career first as a partner in his native New Zealand, and then joined the company in Australia in 1998. He served as a principal software consultant in the Asia Pacific region, then accepted an R&D role at the company’s global headquarters in Houston.
After another tour in Asia Pacific, he returned to the U.S. and held a variety of sales roles, including leading the channels, outsources and system integrators group, the Americas direct sales organization, and marketing for all of BMC. He also led sales for the U.S. West and Latin America.
Most recently, Jason was based in London where he served as general manager for Europe, the Middle East and Africa. As head of EMEA, Jason delivered growth, led a strong operational cadence and built a solid team with deep bench strength.
Jason holds a bachelor’s degree in business studies from the University of Auckland, New Zealand.
Brian Bergdoll is senior vice president of Sales and Customer Success for ZSolutions at BMC Software, Inc. He is responsible for sales, customer support and enablement for all mainframe solutions.
Brian joined BMC in 1986 and was promoted to positions of increasing responsibility in sales, marketing and strategy management. As an early member of the BMC sales team, Brian created the company’s sales best practices function, and he was responsible for formalizing the process and practice of both large account management and technical account management. BMC’s product specialization sales model was created under Brian’s leadership. Over the course of his career with BMC, the company has grown from $25 million in annual revenue to more than $2 billion, and he was with BMC both when it became a public company in 1988 and when it re-privatized in 2013.
Prior to joining BMC Software, Brian was with IBM in various sales and sales management positions. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business from Rice University, where he attended on an athletic scholarship.
Bill Berutti is president of Enterprise Solutions for BMC Software, Inc. He is responsible for the Enterprise Solutions product lines: Digital Service Management, Digital Business Automation, and Digital Service Operations.
Bill joined BMC in 2014 to lead the Performance & Analytics product line. Several months later, he was tapped to take on the additional role of head of Cloud Management/Data Center Automation. From there, he moved onto leading operations for Enterprise Solutions before taking the helm of the entire group.
Before joining BMC, Bill served as a senior leader at PTC where he was executive vice president and general manager of the Service Lifecycle Management business unit. His 17-year career at PTC also included senior leadership roles in general management, corporate development, marketing, product management and sales. Bill began his career at Wallace Computer Services where he was a successful sales leader.
Bill holds a bachelor of science in business administration from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, and he is a graduate of Harvard Business School’s Finance for Senior Executives program.
Cory Bleuer is senior vice president, controller and chief accounting officer for BMC Software, Inc.
Cory joined BMC in 2006 and currently oversees the company’s global accounting and financial reporting, revenue recognition and revenue operations, financial shared services, OEM finance and financial information services functions.
Prior to BMC, Cory served as vice president and controller of EMC Corporation's Captiva Software group, a position he assumed following EMC’s acquisition of Captiva Software Corporation where he was vice president and corporate controller. Earlier in his career, Cory held financial leadership roles with Fair Isaac Corporation and HNC Software, Inc. and was an audit and business advisory manager with PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP.
Cory is an active software industry financial advocate and has represented the industry before FASB and PCAOB.
Cory holds a bachelor’s of business administration degree with an accounting concentration from Indiana University. He is a CPA and CGMA and a member of Financial Executives International.
David Cramer is president of the Digital Service Operations product line at BMC Software, Inc. In this role, he is responsible for BMC’s market-leading TrueSight and BladeLogic portfolios, which enable customers to automate and optimize the performance, security and cost of workloads in the data center and in the cloud.
David joined BMC in 2015 as vice president of product management for Data Center and Cloud Management. In 2016, he was promoted to general manager of the Security Operations business.
Prior to joining BMC, David spent six years at CA Technologies. He began his tenure at CA as vice president of product management for the IT Automation business. After introducing several new products that advanced the business from monitoring to true automation, he was recruited to run strategy and product management for a new business unit, Application Delivery. David helped define the strategy and integrate three acquired companies to establish the business, which over time, became the strategy and growth engine for the entire company.
Previously, David held senior leadership roles in product management and product marketing at AlterPoint, Motive, NetSolve, and Nortel Networks.
David received his MBA from Southern Methodist University and a BS in finance from Georgia State University.
Scott Crowder is chief information officer for BMC Software, Inc. He is responsible for the company’s Information Services and Technology group, which provides business applications, end user support, production and R&D cloud infrastructure, unified communications, information security and service governance.
The IS&T group serves as “Customer Zero” for BMC’s full line of IT operations management software. As Customer Zero, the IS&T group runs all current versions in production and also works closely with the company’s R&D teams to provide feedback on product roadmaps and test new versions in development.
Scott has more than 30 years of experience in product development, service delivery and assurance for information technology organizations. Prior to joining BMC, Scott was vice president of data center operations at Blackbaud where he was responsible for delivering managed services, SaaS CRM, CMS and eCommerce services for approximately 12,000 customers. Previously, he held IT leadership positions in high technology companies that included Sprint, Akamai, Inktomi, MIH (Entriq) and Kintera.
Scott holds two patents related to digital media. He is a veteran of the U.S Air Force.
Monika Fahlbusch is senior vice president, chief employee experience officer at BMC Software, Inc. She is responsible for Information Services and Technology, Human Resources, Facilities and Real Estate, Digital Workplace, Employee Communication, Community Relations and Security.
Less than 18 months after she joined the company, BMC was named one of America’s Best Midsized Employers for 2016 by Forbes, and the company has been on the list since. Also during her tenure, BMC’s India operations became Great Place to Work certified, and earned a spot on the top 50 list of Best Companies to Work For in 2017.
Prior to joining BMC, Monika was at Salesforce where she was senior vice president of global employee success. While on the executive team at Salesforce.com, she helped catapult the company from #52 to the #7 position on Fortune’s Great Place to Work list. At Salesforce, she built a hiring engine to grow from $2 billion to $4 billion in three years, increased employee engagement and reduced turnover through sophisticated use of data and analytics, and delivered innovative employee and leadership programs. She has also held HR, communication and IT leadership positions at PeopleSoft and Old Navy.
Monika was named one of the Silicon Valley Women of Influence for 2016 by the Silicon Valley Business Journal. She holds a bachelor of science in business administration and economics from St. Mary’s College of California. She has served as an advisory board member to the School of Business and Economics at St. Mary’s College of California.
President, Customer Success and Chief Customer Officer
David Gai president of Customer Success and chief customer officer for BMC Software, Inc.
Prior to joining BMC, David was executive vice president of Worldwide Services at JDA Software, where he managed the P&L for all lines of service, including cloud, consulting, customer support and education. Previously he led worldwide customer support, consulting and education teams at both EMC and BEA Systems.
David has also served as CEO and president of Equitant, an international business process operations company in Dublin, Ireland; served as general manager of North American Operations for HP; and led his own company providing consulting services to global customers including American Express, Universal Studios and Chevron.
David holds a bachelor of science in computer software engineering from California State University of Sacramento.
Senior Vice President, Customer Experience and Presales
Jeff Hess is the senior vice president of Customer Experience and Presales. He is responsible for the customer experience, which includes value engineering, solution engineering, centers of excellence, sales enablement and BMC’s Executive Briefing Centers.
Prior to joining BMC, Jeff was the global senior vice president of value engineering at SAP leading a dynamic, cutting-edge presales team in driving the vision to value for customers. His main focus was building the vision for change, the roadmap to value and the business case for transformation for all SAP solutions.
Jeff holds a bachelor of science degree in chemical engineering from the University of Delaware and an MBA in finance from Goizueta Business School at Emory University.
Shayne Higdon is senior vice president of strategy and operations for Enterprise Solutions at BMC Software, Inc. In this role, he is responsible for driving the company’s multi-cloud strategy, as well as technology and operations alignment across product lines.
Previously, Shayne was president of Performance and Analytics, with full P&L responsibility for that product line.
Prior to rejoining BMC in 2014, Shayne served as the president and CEO of Symplified, an identity management-as-service company acquired by RSA. Previously, Shayne was SVP and general manager of Quest Software’s user workspace and application performance management business units. While at Quest, Shayne also served as the SVP and managing director of Quest’s corporate development team where he led mergers and acquisitions, corporate venture investing, corporate strategy and business development.
Shayne is an active member of Cor Vitae, the premiere philanthropic group of the American Heart Association. Shayne holds a bachelor’s degree in computer information systems from the University of Mary-Hardin Baylor.
Imran Khan is senior vice president of Global Services at BMC Software, Inc. He leads the company’s consulting and managed services business globally, including a group focused on delivery of digital transformation services.
Previously Imran was senior vice president of global services and a member of the executive team at JDA Software, a supplier of software to world-class retailers and manufactures. Imran’s 1,500-strong organization was responsible for providing consulting and strategic services to most of the globe’s top supply chains, with services accounting for a third of JDA’s revenue.
Prior to JDA Imran was vice president for worldwide network consulting at Hewlett Packard where he was responsible for developing the industry’s leading networking consulting business, including a strategy and operating plan that supported the new HP networking product set. Earlier Imran was vice president of global services at 3Com Corporation, running all aspects of 3Com’s service business, including training and education, and was a leader and key collaborator on the integration team that managed 3Com’s acquisition by HP.
Imran is a qualified accountant and holds a degree in business and finance from the University of Middlesex, United Kingdom.
Bill Miller is president of ZSolutions and Select Technologies for BMC Software, Inc. As head of ZSolutions, Bill has full P&L responsibility for the company’s suite of industry-leading mainframe solutions including its Cost Analyzer, Subsystem Optimizer and Intelligent Capping products for zEnterprise, as well as Data Management for both DB2 and IMS, and MainView.
Previously, Bill served as BMC’s chief operating officer, president of its Mainframe Solutions Management business unit, and general manager of Data Management.
Bill joined BMC from BindView Development, where he was senior vice president and chief operating officer. Earlier in his career, Bill spent 21 years at IBM, where he held a variety of positions including in sales, marketing and general management.
Bill earned a Bachelor of Science in engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Dallas.
Nayaki Nayyar is the president of the Digital Service Management product line at BMC Software, Inc. In this role, she is responsible for BMC’s Digital Service Management offerings, including the Remedy Service Management Suite, Remedyforce, BMC Discovery and the industry-leading digital workplace, BMC Marketplace and multi-source environments powered by BMC Innovation Suite.
Nayaki joined BMC from SAP where she was general manager and global head of their internet-of-things go-to-market group with full P&L responsibility for IoT. Previously, Nayaki led cloud for the Customer Engagement product division at SAP. In this role, she drove high organic growth in the company’s cloud, CRM, mobile and integration business units. Before that, she had been in corporate strategy at SAP where she was instrumental in the company’s cloud strategy.
Nayaki began her career at Shell where she gained tremendous industry experience and then took a role as CTO leading enterprise architecture and application development divisions at Valero during its rapid growth into the largest independent refining company in North America.
Nayaki earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Osmania University and a master’s degree in computer science from the University of Houston. She is also a graduate of the Stanford Executive Program.
Steve Solcher is the senior vice president of Finance and Business Operations and chief financial officer for BMC Software, Inc.
Prior to being named SVP of Finance and CFO in 2005, Steve served as the company’s treasurer and was a vice president of Finance. He joined the company in 1991 as assistant treasurer and became treasurer the following year. During his tenure, BMC grew from nearly $130 million in annual revenue to $2.2 billion in annual revenue in 2013, its last year operating as a public company. In addition to leading many M&A acquisitions as CFO, Steve was instrumental in BMC’s transition from being a publicly traded company to becoming a private held company in 2013.
Previously, he was employed by Arthur Andersen as a certified public accountant.
Steve is a member of the board of directors of Main Street Capital Corporation, and he also serves on the development board of the Mays Business School at Texas A&M University. He was recognized by the Houston Business Journal as 2012 Best CFO–Large Public Company.
Gur Steif is the president of the Digital Business Automation product line for BMC Software, Inc. Under Gur’s leadership, the business has tripled in size.
Previously, Gur was the general manager and vice president for the precursor to Digital Business Automation, the Workload Automation product line, as well as the Performance & Availability business line. During this time, he grew the Workload Automation business at triple the market growth rate while also delivering a double-digit increase in customer satisfaction for Performance & Availability.
In his 25-year career in technology, Gur has held leadership roles in strategy, product management, R&D, sales, marketing and M&A in IT operations management, application management and workload automation.
Gur holds a Master of Business Administration from Tel Aviv University and has more than 25 years of experience in systems management and data center automation.
Executive Vice President, ESO Global Sales and Marketing
Dan Streetman is executive vice president for ESO Global Sales and Marketing for BMC Software, Inc. He is responsible for worldwide sales for the company’s Enterprise Solutions Organization business unit, as well as the company’s Central Marketing function.
Dan joined BMC in 2015 as senior vice president for Strategic Sales and Operations, which included sales to global outsourcing and system integrators and the federal government, as well as the Sales Operations, Inside Sales, Channel, and Best Practices groups. He also led sales to ESO’s largest and most strategic customers.
Prior to joining BMC, Dan was senior vice president of alliances and channels for Salesforce. He previously led sales, consulting, marketing and operations for several leading companies, including C3 Energy, Hanson McClain, Amdocs, and Siebel Systems.
Dan honed his leadership skills during his service as an Airborne Ranger-qualified infantry officer. He served in Operation Iraqi Freedom, and is the recipient of a Bronze Star Medal and the General Douglas MacArthur Leadership Award.
Dan serves on the advisory boards of the Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America, the Wounded Warrior Project, VetsInTech and several technology companies. He serves as an executive sponsor for BMC’s community partnerships with veterans organizations. An avid athlete, he has completed multiple Ironman triathlons and enjoys guiding visually impaired marathon runners each year in the Boston Marathon.
Dan was a distinguished graduate and regimental commander of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, and he earned an MBA from Harvard Business School.
Patrick Tagtow serves as BMC’s general counsel, corporate secretary and chief compliance officer.
Prior to being named general counsel, Patrick served as BMC’s vice president of litigation and compliance with responsibility over global litigation management, legal and regulatory enterprise risk management and BMC’s compliance and ethics program.
He joined BMC in 1999 from the law firm of Haynes and Boone, L.L.P. where he practiced commercial and employment litigation.
Patrick received a bachelor’s degree in computer science from the University of Texas at Austin, as well as a master’s of business administration and doctorate of jurisprudence from the University of Houston. He has been practicing law since 1993.
